Collection: Amber Collection Fundraiser

20% of the proceeds will go to help support Amber as she fights her battle and will help pay for some of the expenses that occur from treatment… Here is Amber’s story.  I am a 35 year old preschool teacher. In November of 2022, I made a repeat visit to our family doctor with a cough that just wouldn’t go away. He sent me for a chest X-ray where it was discovered my lung was filled with fluid. I was sent to Dothan to have the fluid taken care of, one thing lead to another and I was diagnosed a week later with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Colorectal Cancer. We spent Christmas 2022 in Houston hotel rooms seeing great doctors at MD Anderson to get a plan rolling. I had colorectal chemo, followed by an 8 hour combined colorectal and liver surgery. A week later being readmitted to get a liver drain, and after a month in Houston was finally able to fly home to Andalusia. I started lymphoma chemo in June and will be undergoing that treatment for the next 6 months. I am so appreciative of everyone’s support, love, and prayers throughout this process. In November I asked a dear friend for a game plan and he quickly spouted back at me: Attack the Day, Be Thankful for our Blessings and Trust HIS Guidance. That and Psalm 50:15 are the motto I have claimed over this journey. Thank you for walking with me!
